Introducing a new space saving VCO!
MIDI EXPANSION
Note for note with the SDS_VCO
What does this do?
This small add-on board will allow MIDI notes to be sent to your
favorite MIDI compatible receiver, effectively turning your SDS_VCO into a
CV/T/G to MIDI converter.
The notes duplicate the notes coming out of the SDS_VCO's audio jack with only 1 pre-requisite, the Quantizer must be set to "on". All of the scales shown here will work for MIDI notes, as well as the + 1
octave switch, the MOD CV offset, and the 0 volts Root offset (up to 16
notes).
Velocity: |
Gate/Trigger:
The Gate length will directly become the MIDI Note length. This is desirable for
some notes that end quickly (like horns, wood winds etc.)
If a trigger or very short gate is used, some MIDI notes with a longer
Attack period won't be able to sound before the trigger falls low, even though
the VCO audio output is playing just fine.
This can be desirable in that some MIDI notes can sound while others cannot
(using a variable gate), or very short notes on, say a piano, can still
trigger a full envelope on the VCO.
Please specify at time of ordering if you'd like the MIDI add-on installed, and what type of MIDI patch you'd prefer. (See the showcase at top of page)
Happy Patching!
